On order of the United States Army Avaition Command (USAAC), 3rd Battalion 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade deploys worldwide within 18 hours to provide offensive aviation capability in support of both the 82nd Airborne Division’s global contingency mission, as well as support of global FSX Fleet operations.
Our missions typically consist of hunting and destroying hostile targets of interest, whether they be mobile or immobile, as well as general escort and protection of large-capacity helicopters in hostile areas. We emphasize night efficiency and competence, as almost all of our operations occur in a night setting with the assistance of the Night Vision Goggle (NVG) system, as well as the Forward Looking Infra-Red (FLIR) optic system.
